WHY WE LOVE IT In 1968, Patek Philippe released the Golden Ellipse. Debuting eight years before the iconic Nautilus, the Ellipse—with its distinctive oval shape—was unlike anything else in Patek Philippe’s catalogs. This example dates to circa the 1970s and features a solid 18k white gold case with an absolutely stunning integrated 18k white gold chain-link bracelet with a signed locking clasp, and an equally stunning sunburst blue sigma dial with applied white gold baton indices and a matching handset. Lovely! Watches such as this one are fun and wonderful timepieces, and there's no telling if and when one of these in any condition will surface again, so don't wait! OVERALL CONDITION The case is in very good condition overall showing normal signs of wear consistent with age and use. Sunburst blue 'sigma' dial with applied white gold indices is in excellent condition with matching ‘pencil’ handset. Signed crown
